Quantity Over Quality
There are only a few things in my life that I regret about. One of them is not realizing early that 'Quality Over Quantity' is false wisdom.
Every skill I've learned is because of the high quantity of practice. For example, writing and driving.
Every good product I've shipped is because of the high quantity of production. For example, my write-ups.
My experience tells me that quantity trumps quality.
Now, the sceptic inside you might ask how to ensure you are not just pumping out mediocre work, but are actually improving over time.
For that, use the 'Schedule + 1% rule' made by Thomas Frank. It goes like this:
Schedule: Consistently publish at an interval that gives you a fair amount of time for quality, but not enough for perfectionism.
1% Rule: Pick one area (writing, animation, eye contact, SEO, etc) and aim to get 1% better each time you publish.
